About Us

Professional Learning Newfoundland and Labrador began in 2009 as an initiative of Department of Education of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador through the divisions of Program Development and the Centre for Distance Learning and Innovation.  It became a proof of concept that answered a need for online professional learning options for new implementations of the courses developed through the the provincial Mathematics Strategy. Over the past 15 years Professional Learning Newfoundland and Labrador has developed into a repository of multimedia content to support new curriculum implementations and serve as a legacy for professional learning post implementation.
