STELLAR Routes:
There are five (5) routes a STELLAR learning journey may take:
1. Availing of a K-12 mathematics bursary
2. Engaging in self-directed learning
3. Establishing a professional learning community (PLC)
4. Participating in a mentorship program
5. Attending an institute or conference
STELLAR Connections to the NLSPMT
The Newfoundland and Labrador Standards of Practice for Mathematics Teaching (NLSPMT) and STELLAR are interconnected. The professional standards for the teaching of mathematics are a framework for planning and structuring professional development and learning. In turn, STELLAR provides a variety of ways and means for that professional learning to occur.
